There is a lot of terminology that can be confusing when it comes to, search engine optimization (SEO). Two, often, misunderstood terms are crawling and indexing. Indexing is when a search engine, such as Google, has made your page eligible to show up in their search results. Crawling is when a bot, like the Googlebot, looks at all the content and coding of your website and analyzes it. You need your site to be crawled by these bots, so that your site can be indexed in the search results.
